There’s little time to waste these days for Jim Warren.

“Over the past couple of months it’s been hard to keep up we’re actually adding sale staff.”

Warren owns material handling systems…a company that supplies equipment for mostly warehouses.

Racks, shalving carts, conveying systems, forklifts…anything to make businesses more efficient.”

“We stock more than a half million dollars worth of inventory at any given time.”

Healthwise owner Terry Callahan sells juicers, blenders and other healthy lifestyle products.  He also stores other companies products and needs Warren’s help to expand.

We have a secondary warehouse that we store all of that and we need additional racking and a different type of racking.”

It’s quite a change for Warren who watched warehouse vacancies skyrocket 18 months ago.

“It was really discouraging seeing how many of our clients that we’ve had throughout the year in there taking the equipment out.”

Much of that inventory ended up in Warren’s storage yard. Now he’s ordering more for companies moving into warehouses.

“It’s where all the goods and services come from and if warehouses are getting busier that means stores and retailers are going to be getting busier.”

It means a serious economic recovery is underway.

“I believe it. I believe it. It’s definitely coming back.”
